“Ok Boomer!” I imagine that the younger generations say this when they hear someone say that we should keep doing things the way we used to. I, myself, sometimes find myself wondering why we don’t do things the same way that we used to eventhough new ways may be better.
I do not want to stand in the way of progress and I do want to try new ways of doing things in the hope’s that it works better. First, it should be demonstrated in tests that it will make improvements before trying it large scale. Once the tests are complete, and positive outcomes are achieved, then give it a try on the large scale. If successful again, make it permanent. However, if the trial does not achieve the desired results the previous model should be out back into place.
Humility is a big problem with our society. We are unable to accept when our attempt at making a positive change has failed and we keep trying to make it work, even if it destroys us. I hope that our society takes time to reflect and determine what has worked and what has failed in order to make corrections and keep us on track.
Just a thought. Let’s be brave enough to try new ideas, but wise enough to accept failure when our attempts fail.
Take It Easy!
