REALITY IS IN OUR MIND

This topic is a real brain buster.  It requires imagination, deep thought, and conceptualization in order to make the attempt to comprehend it.  Our reality is all in our mind and, because of this, reality is different for everyone.  Like fingerprints, reality is not the same for any two individuals.  How is this so?

Everything we experience from the outside world.  The outside world being, everything external to ourselves.  All that we see, feel, smell, and taste, first has to run through our nervous system and then be interpreted in our brain.  That interpretation of our senses becomes our reality.

To take it a step further, each person interprets external inputs differently.  In order for our brains to make sense of what is happening externally, it relies on previous experiences.  New external experiences are evaluated through past experiences in order to categorize what is new.  Since we all have had different experiences with different inputs, at different times, in different orders, different parents, different siblings, different friends and etcetera, my reality is constructed differently than yours and yours is different from each other person in this world.

So what am I getting at here?  There is no one reality because our reality is unique to us.  Our reality is created from our minds' interpretation of the external.  There are upwards of 8 billion people on earth and there are 8 billion different realities, each unique to the individual and how their mind is interpreting the external world.  Perhaps, with this understanding, we can find it within ourselves to be more patient with each other.
